Economic Survey of India forecast a growth of 8 to 8.5% in FY22



The economic survey presented by the finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has predicted an economic growth of 9.2% for the current financial year ending March 31, 2022.

For the following financial year 2022, the survey forecast an economic growth of 8.0-8.5%.


Agriculture and allied sectors are expected to grow at 3.9% in FY21, following a 3.6% growth in the previous year. The services sector is expected to grow at 8.2% in FY21, after a contraction of 8.4% in the previous year.

India’s Consumer Price Index inflation came within the government’s tolerance level, which stood at 5.6% Y-o-Y in December 2021.
