World Bank forecast India's FY22 GDP growth at 8.3%


World Bank in its latest Global Economic Prospects report has projected India's GDP Growth for FY22 at 8.3%, unchanged for the earlier estimates. But upgrade FY23 growth to 8.7% from 7.5%. For FY24 the World Bank has projected a growth of 6.8%.


The World Bank has upgraded its FY23 and FY24 GDP growth for India seeing higher investment from private sector in infrastructure and dividends from ongoing reforms by the government.

Earlier the statistics department of the government has projected FY22 growth at 9.2% which is lower than 9.5% projected by International Monetary Fund and Reserve bank of India.
